Transition into school – New Starters 2021-22
Welcome to the Reception Classes at Islamia Primary School
We are really looking forward to welcoming all our new reception children this year! We can’t wait to get to know you and see how you will blossom at Islamia Primary school. We hope this will be the start of a long and happy association between you and our school.
COVID-19
We have chosen to delay the Induction day so that we may possibly hold an Induction Day at school if the restrictions allow after the advice given on the 21st June. If not, we will host a Virtual Induction and welcome to school session.
However, even if the induction is virtual, we promise that we will make the transition as smooth and exciting as possible for our new children! We want to reassure you that we will do our best to keep you informed as we know any more information regarding physical visits to school
Once we are confident about the guidance we will inform you about whether we will be conducting home visits or if transition in to school in September will follow the same pattern as it did this year. All these details will be made available to you as soon as possible.
Our priority is working together to help your child settle happily in to school life.
We will keep you updated through our website, twitter sites, as well as on our new school app (See Text box at the end)

As you can’t visit our school at the moment we wanted to make a video for you. We hope you can share this with your child to help with discussions about moving on to Reception. We have included staff photos and names, activities the children might do inside and outside as well as other places we felt were important for your child to see.

New School APP
We have launched “mySchoolApp” to communicate with all parents.
This will replace all text messaging from the school. It includes
sending out the weekly Jumu’ah Bulletin and providing you with
reminders of key events like live online lessons etc. We will keep
you updated as we add more content to the app inshaAllah. You can
download the FREE app for either Android devices (Playstore) or Apple devices (Apple Store)
On the opening screen please enter ‘Islamia Primary School’ and
then register your details. After that, you will be sent a verification
email. Click the link in the email and return to the app. It is
recommended that you accept push notifications to enable us to
notify you of new messages or events without the need for you to
open the app.
