School Council

School Council

A school council, also known as a student council, is a formal group of students elected by their peers to represent their classmates in discussions with the headteacher and school staff. The council provides a platform for students to voice their opinions and contribute to the overall school programmes. In addition to representing student views, school councils often take the lead in various initiatives. These may include organizing charity events, participating in community activities, representing the school at external events, or promoting environmentally friendly practices. They serve as a valuable forum for students to make decisions that enhance the learning experience and foster a sense of responsibility and engagement within the school community.
